Impact Report
At the International School of Disability Studies, we are a research centre and a library for people living with disabilities in the societies in Africa. Our mission is to make available reading resources for disabled people so that they will have access to reading materials and a feeling of inclusiveness. What makes us different is that we provide reading, research and a library for the disabled, which is the only school of such in Jos.
Before we found out about Books2Africa, we had few books on Sociology, Psychology and Education, but with the intervention of SSQ Legal Recruitment through Books2Africa , the number was added, and not only do we have the previously mentioned topics in large quantity, we now have collections on disability and research books. These books were needed because most of the people who walked in here, either for research or library use, could not find books of interest, or in some cases, they had exhausted the available materials.
We have recieved books on sociology, psychology, research, education, books on religion, disability, child education. The quantity is really enormous, and the quality excellent, these materials are hard to come by in Africa. Psychology Books will be most useful as such.
The donated materials will really benefit a lot of people, even up to 300-plus educators, researchers and readers who walk in here to make use of the library.
We want to appreciate and acknowledge SSQ Legal Recruitment, for donating these collections to us via Books2Africa, and also Books2Africa for this kind gesture, we will never forget what you have done and the impact this will have on the beneficiaries. remain blessed.
