SOUTHERN AFRICA

1,000 books donated to the Community Development Training College in Zambia. At the handing over ceremony, Zambia’s Minister of Community Development and Social Welfare said “I thank Books To Africa for the gesture of donating and shipping a total of 1,248 books which are related to the subjects that are offered in the course of community development”.

EAST AFRICA

1,000 books donated to Urban Resource Centre in Uganda, a community organisation which aims to empower students through a centre where they can develop a reading culture and improve their literacy levels. According to Project Coordinator Nathan Okiror, the project “has led to improvement in class performance in schools”.

WEST AFRICA

3,000 books donated to Support Our Troops Foundation, a military charity that provides resources to more than 10,000 children in some 75 military schools in Nigeria.
