Runoko Rashidi was an African American historian, writer, lecturer, and world traveller known for his research on the African foundations of world civilisations. A strong advocate of firsthand, primary research, he visited more than one hundred countries in pursuit of documenting the global African presence.
He authored Introduction to the Study of African Classical Civilizations and co-edited The African Presence in Early Asia with Ivan Van Sertima. His work was also published in French, including A Thousand Year History of the African Presence in Asia. Rashidi collaborated with and was influenced by prominent scholars such as John Henrik Clarke and Yosef ben-Jochannan.
Throughout his life, Rashidi saw his mission as restoring pride among African people, reshaping global perceptions of Africa, and reconnecting the African diaspora. Based for many years between Los Angeles and Paris, he was named President and First Speaker of the Diaspora Forum at the 2010 Third World Conference on Black Arts and Culture (FESMAN) in Dakar, Senegal.
He is remembered for his passionate advocacy, global scholarship, and dedication to highlighting Africa’s historical contributions to world civilisation.

The guidance measurements given next to the shirts are supposed to represent what size person they fit. They are not the actual measurements of the garment itself, which naturally need to be larger than the person they are designed to fit.
Firstly, please ignore the washing instructions in the garment itself. These are for blank garments and not printed ones.
Wash your shirts at 40 degrees or less. Iron on reverse (cool). Do not tumble dry.
Whilst Royal Mail normally deliver all first class post within 1-2 working days, they can on occasion take longer. In the unlikely event that your goods do not arrive, allow 7 days before calling us. We cannot authorise any remakes before this time has passed as Royal Mail have been known to deliver within this time.
However, if you paid to have Express delivery, contact us immediately as we can provide you with the tracking reference to chase it with the carrier.
