Impact Summary

The community of Kawempe division extend their thanks to Books to Africa and they appreciate your support of uplifting their lives. The pupils from different schools appreciate your support to avail them with the books and they have widened their research capacities and diversified their culture. The students are very happy for the support because this has helped them do various researches in different fields

Impact Report

Urban Resource Centre is a project which aims at empowering the communities, students and pupils through the power of a resource centre, where they can improve their reading cultures, hence improvement in literacy levels.

The received books have improved on the reading culture of the community, students and pupils. It has led to the improvement on the class performance in schools and increased the access of knowledge on entrepreneurship skills and business management. It reduced the illiteracy and ignorance levels amongst the single expectant mothers and communities. It increased knowledge on sexual reproductive health rights information and created cervical and breast cancer awareness to the single expectant mothers and the youth. It has also led to the reduction in domestic violence in the community.
