Impact Report
The university has moved to a new campus in Kungu and we were in the process of setting up a new library. The books from Books2Africa therefore were very much needed to provide more information resources to the university community. The students are excited about the new university library and staff too. More users are expected as the student enrolment increases too. This is another “brick” to the student’s learning and research at the university.
The students have a more resourced learning space for both private study and research. The presence of these books attracts them more to use the library. Some students have also been very instrumental in running the library by volunteering some of their free time and making sure that the new library is ready for use by the university community. The teachers are free to browse through the collection for what is relevant to their teaching needs. Students are also referred to specific titles for their assignments by their teachers. This therefore greatly contributes to the learning process.
